FUNDS is a very small and competitive program.  Participating organizations must meet the Environmental Support Center’s general Program Eligibility requirements. Candidates will also most likely operate within one of our current Priority areas. In addition, the best FUNDS candidates: 

• Have been operating for at least five years, and have an established track record
• Are guided by a strategic plan and an active, engaged board of directors
• Have staff time dedicated to carrying out development functions (not including the executive director)

There are four grant cycles in 2008 for FUNDS: January, April, July, and October. Application to FUNDS is by invitation only, and eligible groups are interviewed before being invited to apply. The application process starts with a pre-screening interview with our Program Manager.

Pre-screening interviews for the January grant cycle start September 1 -- November 5, 2007.

Pre-screening interviews for the April grant cycle start December 1, 2007 - February 5, 2008. 

Pre-screening interviews for the July grant cycle start March 1 -- May 5, 2008. 

Pre-screening interviews for the October grant cycle start June 1 -- August 5, 2008.
