Our 2008 Strategic Plan

In June 2007, the Environmental Support Center adopted an 18-month strategic plan. The timeframe is relatively short, to accommodate our transition from a founding executive director.  The Futures Committee of the board led the planning process, with significant input from the full board and staff.  The plan was informed by over 100 groups, funders, consultants and other stakeholders who were interviewed by outside facilitators.

The process clarified our current organizational goals:

  • To keep the internal “dismantling racism” work alive
  • To build ESC’s brand of capacity-building through a dismantling racism lense
  • To support environmental justice work
  • To strengthen ESC’s staff and board capacity
  • To ensure the financial resources to support the organization.
